Subject: LayoutManagers releasing components
Date: Fri, 4 Dec 1998 15:34:57 -0500
Anyone have any idea how layout manager deal with releasing resources?
I've noticed on an Applet that a client is writing, in which they add and remove
lots of JPanels to a JApplet, that the GridBagLayout never relinquishes its
hold on any of the components. ie) Once they've been added, they end up in
a hashtable w/in the gridBag called comptable. But the 'removeLayoutComponent'
doesn't ever remove from the hashtable...
What's the deal here...
Thanks,
Danny
