It is not clear on the HTML documentation download
screen that the ZIP file can be expanded using the
JAR utility. There should be instructions to the
novice users on how to decompress the ZIP file
using JAR (assuming they have installed the JDK
tools first). The message this sends is that Sun
endorses its own product as a valid delivery
mechanism by using its own tools for complete
platform independence. (Perhaps the ZIP file name
should be made available with a JAR extension
to further denote this.)
