The visual advance at which the attribute change happens is not accurate. This happens with all fonts: default fonts and others. This happens on NT and on Solaris.
See attached program for reproducible test case.
The problem is that the native font code does not produce reliable metrics for antialiased text. A test case is attached which is correct for non-antialiased text but incorrect for antialiased text.
I'm unassinging myself from this bug.

This no longer appears to be a problem in our workspace. This bug should be closed out once our workspace is integrated into the master.
