When using Java Plug-in 1.2 for NS is running inside NS 4.5 on Win32, it crashes in some machines during startup. This is caused by the fact that the installer of NS 4.5 messed up the user preference file and the registry in some machines, if previous version of Navigator was installed. This causes Java Plug-in to read in the user preference from the wrong place or read it incorrectly, and it results in browser crash during startup. Java Plug-in should be more careful in dealing with this kind of error.
