Subject: Feedback on EAR 08 of JavaSound
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Hi,
I'd just like to comment that the single most important
feature still lacking from JavaSound is the ability to
directly play mp3 files. Lately as you know statistics
show that 97% of all audio files on the Internet are mp3
files. I myself would like to build a jukebox player in
Java for mp3 files which works on all platforms where
JavaSound is supported.
A concerned Java developer.
p.s: I _just_ downloaded the EAR 08, and have not seem
trace or mention of mp3 files yet. If this is indeed
supported then my apologies in advance.
