The Solaris reference implementation of JDK 1.2 uses DPS (Display PostScript)
This code is invoked in certain circumstances to rasterise Type1 (PostScript)
fonts.

For platforms which don't support DPS, this is dead code which needs to
be removed in order to port to those platforms.

It would facilitate porting efforts if the reference implementation made
it easier to exclude that code at compile time.
