On the Intel Solaris 2.7 platform the Swing and AWT text components do not display Lucida Sans Regular "k", "z", and "g" correctly. The glyphs smear. More precisely, "k" smears in both Swing and AWT (jT)textarea and (jT)textfield. "g" and "z" cause this problem only in AWT textarea nad textfield. When the same applets and font files are mounted on a Sparc Solaris 2.6 the letters are displayed correctly.
