When running the latest Cricket release of Java Plug-in in IE in Win98, it works fine the first time when launching the applets. However, if the browser is closed and it is relaunched again with any applet through Java Plug-in for IE, a crash is resulted. The error message is a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error" in C:\Windows\Explorer.exe, and it resulted in "abnormal program termination".

Notice that IE4 is installed with Win98 by default with ActiveDesktop enabled.
