CIM/WBEM project uses JNDI APIs to store/retrieve java objects into/from SunDS. Some special characters, such as '\', '=', '"', ";", ",", etc, JNDI may not parse correctly. As a result the entry was truncated or was put in the wrong context in SunDS. You cant not even list the entry with ctx.list(), no error was reported either. A similar bug (4234901) was filed againt SunDS as weel. I think both JNDI and SUnDS are at fault depending which LDAP special character we are dealing with. 3 test java programs were included for this bug.
