When using the plugin version 1.2.1,
System.getProperty("browser") == "sun.plugin"
System.getProperty("browser.vendor") == "Sun Microsystems Inc."
System.getProperty("browser.version") == "1.1"

There seems to be no way to check what the real browser is. Maybe there should be another set of properties for this. Getting the browser name and version could be important, especially if using AppletContext.showDocument().
