Verified
Kestrel beta O build,
JFileChooser needs to support RTL orientation.
bae-chul.kim@eng 1999-08-24
Attached Isam's verification with Merlin b5x:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
To verify this bug I did the testing on FileChooserDemo.jar that is located under
jdk.../demo/jfc/FileChooserDemo (Comes with the build)
I tested under Windows2000 (Hebrew enabled)/ WinNT (hebrew enabled)
1- Component Orientation of GUI icons and text is correct.
2- The contents of "Look In" ComboPanel respect ComponentOrientation (Displayed
correctly)
3- The Directories and files displayed in the contents (center of JFileChooser )
are always displayed from LEFT_TO_RIGHT (Fail to respect component orientation).
4- There is an extra box always displayed in the "File Name" JTextField
5- I attached to this email a jFileChooser1.gif image to compare previous "1-4"
notes with.
I beleive that JFileChooser is still broken regarding ComponentOrientation.
Regards,
Isam
