============================================================================
1. Synopsis(a little more details)
When I executed the attached source code under the two cases of setting
orientation of printing( LANSCAPE and PORTRAIT) ,
the results of printing each character are a little different.
2. Environments
2.1 OS
Windows95(OSR2) and WindowsNT(sp3)
2.2 JDK version
jdk1.2.2 prelim. release and jdk1.3 beta build -I
2.3 Printer
(1) Canon Laser Shot LBP-730(Page printer)
(2) Canon Laser Shot LBP-A309GII(Page printer)
(3) Fuji Xerox Laser Press 4150PSII(Postscript printer)
3. Source code
Please see Attached file.
And search the keyword "NOTE" in the source code file.
At here, change the line of souce code directly in order to
switch the orientation.
4. Note
Please look at each results of printing very much carefully,
otherwise can not recognize the diffrence.
Under setting the orientation to PORTRAIT, the width of each characters
is a little wider(thicker) than under LANDSCAPE.
( Some people may say,
"It depends on the thickness of toner of Printer")
AND
I would like to try it under the jdk1.3 build H, stack trace
occured.
