We need a consistent API for explicit bidi base level control across all Swing
classes that support text in any. It isn't enough just to support the bidi
algorithm. For example, a Hebrew police report (RTL document) whose first
sentence starts with a European automobile chasis number that starts with "FIAT001234" and then the sentence continues is Hebrew will be displayed incorrectly if the default bidi algorithm is applied.
