Windows 2000 Pluggable Look and Feel

What is the feature and what problem is it solving?
Offering an updated pluggable look and feel that is compatible with the Windows
2000 look and feel.

How will it work?
It will be similar to the Windows pluggable look and feel that we offer today
in that each Swing component will be designed to be a facsimile of its native
companion. Each native component will be analysed for behavioral and
appearance changes. Java2D will be utilized to provide transparency and more
sophisticated rendering techniques.

What are the benefits over other solutions?
If appropriate you should reference any public design or JSR documents.
There are no other Java based solutions on the table to supply an updated
Windows 2000 like look and feel for the Java development community.
