Source code is attached. Attempt to run it in the locale ja_JP.PCK on
a sparc/Solaris 7 system. The example attempts to display five panes.
The program will die before the second pane appears.

Machine information is attached, too. Getting the right set of packages
for Asian locales is difficult on Solaris 7 - unless you have access to
a CD.

I reinstalled Japanese Solaris 7. This allows the program to run without
dying. There is still no Japanese character input method, but that is
not a Java problem.
