Source code is attached. When run the test window has 5 tabs in a TabbedPane:
(1) "AWT Labels", (2) "AWT TextFields", (3) "Swing Components",
(4) "Java2D Stroke", and (5) "Java2D Fill". Each of the panes presents an
string using (1) Plain, (2) Italic, (3) Bold, and (4) BoldItalic fonts.
Generic fonts are used: (1) Serif, (2) SansSerif, (3) Monospaced,
(4) Dialog, and (5) DialogInput.
Login using the en_US.UTF-8 locale. In a dtterm, there is a field
labeled [ English/European ]. Left clicking in this field brings up a menu with
menu items Englisth/European, Cyrillic, Greek, Thai, Arabic, Hebrew, Unicode Hex,
Unicode Octal, Lookup, S-Chinese, and T-Chinese. Choosing any of these
items causes the character input method for the command line to change.
Run the test program. Click on the AWT TextField tab. At the bottom of the
test panel is a field labeled [ English/European ] (the text may be truncated).
(1) Try clicking on this field. Nothing happens. (2) Click on the Plain/Serif
TextField to give it focus. Type Ctrl-Space. Try entering text into the TextField.
It will not respond.

All the left-to-right input method languages can be input now.
There is still a problem with Arabic, Hebrew, and Thai with both
Ladybird and Merlin builds.
Does this want a separate bug report?
