Object serialization performance cannot be improved much further by changes in java code. However, it may be possible to boost serialization performance
significantly if support is added in the hotspot vm for serialization-specific
tasks (e.g., runtime generation of serialization/deserialization methods, etc.)
Any increase in serialization performance would be extremely beneficial to
both Jini and Java RMI as a whole.
