      Applet crashes on both browsers

Please contact me if you need a Netscape DMP file(Dr. Watson), Java source(~900 lines) and/or byte code.

Compiled with Classic VM (build JDK-1.2.2-W, green threads, sunwjit) on Sun Sparc, JCChart 4.0K.

      Run on:
      Windows NT 4.0 SP 4,
HPUX Kayak XU dual x86 Family 6 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~300Mhz,
      Netscape Navigator 4.6,
      MSIE 5.00.2314.1003

Netscape: Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address:0x77f6cde6

      Crashes under JRE:
      java full version "1.3beta-0"
      java version "1.3beta-0"
Java(TM) 2 RunTime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3beta-0)
Java(TM) HotSpot Client VM (build 1.3beta-0, mixed mode)
      HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
      Error ID: 4F533F57494E13120E43505002B0

I am unable to reproduce crash with enumerated steps, but it should be reproduceable. Application/Applet seems to crash randomly. Combinations of panning(shift-leftclick-drag), zooming, switching intervals and views, and redrawing the applet(because of window movement) seem to add to the instability.

      Mark,

The code crashes whether it runs as an application or an applet in
Netscape/MSIE. Attached is the applet code. Attached are sample data files
for the application I sent previously. A demo version of JChart can be
downloaded from http://www.klgroup.com choose "JClass Java Components" then
      "JClass Chart" then "Free Evaluation"

I recently noticed bug #4236062. My bug may be a repeat of this. What do you
      think?
I will try to reproduce the crash on a single processor machine.

      Thanks for following up,
      Ron
