The javadoc comment for JComboBox.addActionListener() reads:

Adds an ActionListener. The listener will receive an action event the user
                                                     ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
finishes making a selection.

It appears that a word has been ommitted from the second sentence.
