The spaces before hyperlinks is included as part of the hyperlink element.
Therefore, when a hyperlink is the first word in a line of text, all the spaces
before it is clickable as well. The easiest test is to run the SwingSet example
in the swing-1.1.1 package. When you get to the html example, select the click
here link to see the Swing bug fixers. Scroll down until you see the back
hyperlink. If you click on the area above the hyperlink and to the far right,
the link will be activated. Please try on a 1 inch by 1inch area, not just one
spot.
I've noticed this behavior before. It is worst when the line is wrapped and the
link is the first word in a new line.
Example:
This link will wrap and starting from here
to the end of the line if the word "to" is the hyperlink.
This will result in all the space after "here" to the end of the JEditorPane
since "to" is the hyperlink.
Please help!
