At SDK 1.3RC1, font becomes ugly on some Swing components with Metal Look & Feel at Windows Japanese environmrnt.
It is no problem with Motif L&F or Windows L&F.
This problem exists in Japanese font with Metal L&F.

    The only following Swing components have this Japanese font problem.
JButton, JLabel, JMenuItem, JRadioButton, JCheckBox, JComboBox, tabs of JTabbedPane

     The other Swing components have NO problem even with Metal L&F.

      AWT components have no problem at all.

I am using Chinese Windows 98SE and I found there's a big font display problem
in Java Plug-in control panel in JDK 1.3 RC1 which doesn't exist in JDK 1.3
Beta.

Except from window's title which is displayed correctly , all other chinese font
in Plug-in control panel
displays in unknown font. I didn't install other chinese font into my windows
and this problem doesn't exist in 1.3 beta. I can send you a screen snapshot
if required.

Waiting for your good news in public release and hope we can get rid of the
plug-ins when our browser
fully support Java2 one day. ^__^
