Swing text components can currently have either an explicit left-to-right or right-to-left component orientation. There should be an additional setting that derives its orientation relative to the text data. For example, if the component contains English data, the orientation is ltr while if it contains Hebrew the orientation is rtl.
This is useful because in many cases, the programmer can not tell, a priori, what type of data will be displayed in a particular text field.
