Java 2D not drawing central European characters in Win95/98 (encoding cp1250 - czech, slovak, polish, ...)

After adding custom "font.properties.xx" file everything works fine under Windows NT 4.0 - under Windows 98/95 all fonts except Tahoma are not showing non-ASCII characters.
