Kestrel Fcs_V, W build/ Windows

Extra item "JDK1.3.0" or "JRE1.3.0" can be selectable
in "Java Runtime Enviroment" field of Adbance Tab on Plug-in Control Panel;

Installing JDK1.3, the items appears in "Java Runtime Enviroment" field are below;

JRE1.3 in E:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3
JRE1.3.0 in E:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3
JDK1.3 in E:\jdk1.3
JDK1.3.0 in E:\jdk1.3

This problem is seen on both of Windows Japanese and English.
The origination of JRE1.3.0 is same as one of JRE1.3,
therefore, even if JRE1.3.0 is selected, applet can work
(JDK1.3 is also in same situation).


With Fcs_T, it is not reproduced; items appears are blow;

Looking at registry on JDK1.3 and JRE1.3 (fcs_W) installed windows machine;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE structure about JDK and JRE is below;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  SOFTWARE
    JavaSoft
      Java Debelopment Kit
        1.3
        1.3.0
      Java Runtime Enviroment
        1.3
        1.3.0

the value of 1.3 and 1.3.0 is same.

It smems that this registry information cause the problem.



To reproduce,
1. Installing JDK1.3 (or JRE1.3)
2. Contorol Panel-> Java Plug-in Control Panel.
3. Clicking Advanced Tab.
4. Please see the items in "Java Runtime Enviroment" field.
   (----the default selected is Use Java Plug-in Default.)
