The attached screenshots show the client area of the sample application
FontDemoSunZoom3 with the zoom factor 1.0 (Zoom10.bmp), 1.3 (Zoom13.bmp),
1.5 (Zoom 15.bmp) and 2.5 (Zoom25.bmp).
In the client area a string is drawn in five different ways:
1st line: shaping, antialiazing on
2nd line: shaping, antialiazing on, fractional metrics on
3rd line: shaping, antialiazing off, fractional metrics off
4th line: no shaping, antialiazing off, fractional metrics off
5th line: direct (scaling problem!)
As you can see the first line always is rendered rather poorly.
The second line and the third line are blurred if the zoom factor is
close to 1.0.
The forth line and the fifth line have a kerning problem as you can see at
the second 'e' of sentence and the 'i' of using.
As you can see with all zoom factors the dots of the german Umlauts are
not set correctly. The correct way is shown in the forth and fifth line of
each screen shot.
