Name: tb29552 Date: 03/19/2000
C:\jdk1.2.2>java -version
java version "1.2.2"
Classic VM (build JDK-1.2.2-001, native threads, symcjit)
Following the instructions on this page
http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.2/install-windows.html
it suggests that the user should be able to run this command
javac HelloWorldApp.java
to run this application.
However at that stage the user has not yet written this application. This is
confusing and can cause a new user to believe that some thing is wrong with
their installation of your fine product.
This is so trivial that I can hardly force myself to report it, but I know of
two people who re-downloaded and re-installed before working out what was wrong.
