On a Sparc Ultra-10 (Bluenote) running Solaris 2.7 and on a Sparc Ultra-5
(Sextans) running Solaris 2.6, the same error is displayed when trying to
load the Netscape 4.51 browser after installing the Merlin beta build-f
plugin (either the English version or the I18N version):

      beckys@bluenote:/home/beckys/.netscape( 4 )% netscape&
      [1] 21031
      ERROR: ld.so.1: /usr/dist/share/netscape,v4.51/5bin.sun4/netscape: fatal:
      relocation error: file /home/beckys/.netscape/plugins/javaplugin.so: symbol
      __1c2n6FI_pv_: referenced symbol not found
      Cant load plugin /home/beckys/.netscape/plugins/javaplugin.so. Ignored.

Gemma also tried it on her machine and got the same error message.

      STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

      - Install Merlin/Plugin from the following location:

        /net/sqesvr/plugin2/merlin/beta/solaris.f/

        Install either the English version:
      java_plugin-1_4_0-beta-bin-f-solsparc-29_mar_2000.sh

        or the I18N version:
      java_plugin-1_4_0-beta-bin-f-solsparc-i-29_mar_2000.sh

      - Launch netscape by invoking it in the terminal window.

The error listed above will be displayed in the terminal window.
