Using the Java plugin on a Windows 95 machine executing 1.2.2_006 with 64M of
RAM installed we can watch memory usage climb (normal operation) untill
it hits 55M. At that point the machine slows down to a crawl and memory
is never recovered. In contrast on a Solaris Machine we are able to reach
a similar memory limit and it recovers appropriately. We can reach that
memory limit opening what Metaphase calls a generic browser window. Before
the limit (55M) is reached closing these multiple windows memory is recovered
and all is fine, crossing that limit, then closing those multiple windows has
no effect for releasing meory. We are creating a test case right now and
don't expect any problems.
