The java1.2 bundled with Solaris 8 QU1 (5.8 Generic_109291-03) has a failure
that does not exist in java1.2 shipped with Solaris 8. Versions of the software
used were:
Netscape Communicator 4.7 (bundled)
java1.2 (build Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_05a)

When the applet in url
http://diablo.ireland/cgi-bin/electron/pages?tools.monitor

is used the text under refresh slider on upper left corner of applet should
change to "refresh on" as the slider is used. It does not with update 1.
However, when the java1.2 was COPIED OVER from 5.8 Generic, the slider works
just fine.

Both of the java versions appear to be the same (build Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_05a)
but dirrerent version can be distinguished between by looking at the dates of
libraries in /usr/java1.2/jre/lib/sparc (Jan 5 vs. Mar 17).

NOTE: WHEN AN UPDATE INSTALL IS MADE FROM SOLARIS 8 TO SOLARIS 8 QU1 THE OLDER
JAVA IS LEFT UNTOUCHED AND THE PROBLEM DOES NOT APPEAR, so fresh install is
needed to see the problem.
