I wrote a little XML validator that uses many jaxp classes. I would have filed this bug as an XML bug, however, this didn't start happening until Merlin-beta build 29, and since my jaxp hasn't changed, I'm forced to believe that this may be a URL class bug since it shows up in the stack trace. I've attached the test case to reproduce the bug. Just issue the command:
