Background & reproduction of the bug:
1. platform : Solaris 2.7 (x86 or sparc)
2. log in to ISO8859-15 locales (eg. de_iso8859-15)
3. run the "awttest" test case
ie: java awttest -command [args]
args -> where to place the extended character & euro symbol.
PS: step to produce the EURO symbol
X86 = control+shift+F1+c+=
sparc= Altgraph+E
4. Result: the EURO & extended characters not displayed on the title of the awt component.
Note: A copy of test case "awttest" is attached

"CDE" is the window manager that was used to produce the bug at the time.
