I am using Linux (Mandrake distribution) with Xfree 4.0.1 and JDK 1.3. The
problem is that some keys do not work for Swing applications. I am using
fi-latin keyset. Most important missing key is the one between left shift and Z
char, in finnish layout this key produces greater/less-than characters. This
makes for example using Forte impossible!

      Steps to reproduce the problem:
      1. cd /usr/java/jdk1.3
      2. bin/java -jar demo/jfc/Stylepad/Stylepad.jar
      3. click mouse on text area so that cursor appears
      4. press key between left shift and z character, nothing happens.

ps. The keyboard works fine for AWT applications.
