Japanese characters does not display on Font2DTest in Demo on Linux Mandrake7.1

Japanese characters does not display on Font2DTest in Demo on LinuxMandrake7.1
Japanese CD-ROM package edition (This distribution is no official suport in
Japan).

Then the warning message is displayed below when java swing and awt application
is launching.
Java defiened font in font.properties.ja is at /usr/share/fonts/ttf/japanese/ with this distribtion.
I attached file fonts.dir on mandrake japaese.

Reproduce to:
1, Launch the Font2Dtest in demo.
2, Select "Other..." in "Unicode Range"
3, Input "3000" into "Unicode Base".
4, Select none,translate,rotate,scale,shear in "Transform", then
   select Serif,SansSerif,Monospaced,Dialog,DialogInput in "Font"
   same as Font2DTest result avobe.
 
I removed the tag, becuase this Linux is not supported one.
