Font2DTest is tested on Solaris7 x86 with Merlin beta_36.
<Problem>
Styles can not be applied to Japanese characters.
<To reproduce>
1. Excute Font2DTest demo on Solaris 7 x86.
($JAVAHOME/demo/jfc/Font2DTest/Font2DTest.jar)
2. Select one of the font among Serif, SansSerif, MonoSpaced, Dialog and DialogInput from Font Choice.
3. Slect "Other" from Unicode Range.
4. Input "3000" or "4e00" in Unicode Base to display Japanese Hiragana or Kanji.
5. Select Bold, Italic or BoldItalic.
You can see that the style of Japanese characters is not changed and always plain.
This problem is not reproduced with Merlin beta 34 build.
Not reproducible with jdk1.4 beta b44
