Tested with jdk1.4 beta_40 on WinNT, Win2000 and Win98 Japanese.

Plain style Ascii characters are almost Italic though there is a difference in the width between Plain and Italic(Plain character is wider).

Other style works well.


To reproduce,

1. Excute Font2DTest ($JAVAHOME/demo/Font2DTest/Font2DTest.jar) on Windows Japanese.
2. Confirm that;
"ASCII" is selected in Unicode Range menu.
"Plain" is selected in Style menu.
 Then, you can see the problem with any font and with Draw method.
