Messages in the Java Plug-in Console on Redhat Linux6.2 with Merlin beta build 44 are printed as the square boxes when the Java Plug-in converted applets are loaded.To reproduce the problem

1. Install Java Plug-in Merlin build 44 on Linux.
2. Enable Java console from the Plug-in control panel.
3. Run the any applet which uses plug-in

4. Plug-in messages are printed as square boxes.

FYI
We had similar kind of probelms when running japanese applets in netscape 6 for firefly with font problems.
