When loading HTML files with several large graphics links, e.g., 15-25 KB jpeg
images, there can be a period of several seconds where the page remains blank
while it is loading. As this is frustrating to the user, causing numerous
reclicks, (read..complaints about JavaHelp) etc., there needs to be a way to
message to the HTMLEditor kit that the image or page is still loading and to
optionally display a configurable WAIT_CURSOR while the page is loading. As
this was first noticed when using the JavaHelp API, the interface call needs to
be publically accessible to other apps. This was submitted before, but I
haven't been able to locate this on the "Bug Parade".
