STEP TO REPRODUCE:

1. Bring over the parent workspace from /net/sqesvr/export/2d/Kestrel_2d_ws to your child workspace.

2. Install the Ladybird beta build (b12) into your sol/sparc 8 machine and set JAVA_HOME and PATH to the current JDK.

3. cd to AllFonts under your child workspace and enter the following command:
<path of your child workspace>/gnu_utils/sparc/gnumake all

RESULTS:

When the font "Courier Oblique" appeared and the program hang for around 30 seconds. "Abort (core dumped)" message was displayed in the terminal. The following is the message:

RESULTS ON IA8 Platform:
When the font "Courier Oblique" appeared, the AllFonts suite and the system hang for around 5 minutes. Then the mouse was able to move again. But the test suite was still hanging there. No error message was displayed.

There are no required patches on this system, too.
