      java version "1.3.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.0)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0, mixed mode)

      1. Place j2sdk-1.3.0-linux.bin in a path which contains whitespace.
Run install, which will fail on attempting to open the install script.

      3. "No such file or directory"

In my particular case the install binary resided on the fileserver, which was submounted
locally. The file server was an Microsoft Windows NT installation (booo) where parts of the
file tree contain spaces since this seems second nature to Windows users.
