It seems as though Offscreen Buffer Swaps via drawImage with a BufferedImage is
slow. The computer is a brand-new duel 750Mhz SparcIII with an elite 3D card.
The update time of our product is about 25-30 milliseconds slower than the time
on a single 296Mhz SparcII with a Creator3D card in it.

I tried the -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true, with on change in time. I noticed that
there is not an libjdgaSUNWifb.so in the jre/lib directory. I linked one to the
afb lib with no change other than errors being spit into /var/adm/messages.
This leads me to believe that direct draw is not being used on this machine.
