FileChooser and many other classes do not work with /usr/j2se in s9_34

showmetv 2.0 gui will be messed up in s9_34 and become unusable by doing:
1. launch showmetv 2.0
2. Click on the "load File" from "File".
3. Click on any directories or files on the pop up window couple times and showmetv2.0 windows will be messed up.

showmetv 2.0 can be installed from:
/net/skew/export/gss8/showmetv/int/smtv2.0/build_10/packages.

We've also tried navigating the help section for "Power manager" and "Audio Control" and they crashed. All three of them are java applications. By doing:
/usr/bin/java -version , we got:

ctech95b# /usr/bin/java -version
java version "1.4.0-beta"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-beta-b55)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4beta-B55, mixed mode)

Core file for the crash of audiocontrol is attached.
Note: We didn't see this problem in S9 build 33.

   I am changing this back to java_solaris since it is definitely not
a problem with JMF or with sound. We do need a fix for this.
I am changing the synopsis to something more meaningful, and for
the record, I am including the old synopsis here:
"showmetv 2.0 gui will be messed up in s9_34 and become unusable."
