When upgrading with DSR to s9_36 from s8u1 by suninstall from Software 1 of 2 CD, the following messages are outputted on console after the 1 of 2 upgrade.

After the system reboots, Web Start Launcher does not run and dtlogin invokes.
Software 2 of 2 CD and Languages CD are not required in the upgrade procedure.
