We've now have opaque images acceleration (as of Merlin build 63) via
VolatileImage and under-the-hood acceleration of Component images. It'd be good
to accelerate rendering of 1-bit transparent images as they're widely used (for
example, as sprites).
This needs to be implemented on Win32 and Unix (Solaris/Linux).
