Currently the hotspot source bundles are separate from the
j2se bundles:
hotspot:
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-linux-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solsparc-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solx86-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-win-may_16.zip
j2se:
jdk1_4b65-src-solaris-16_May.zip (solaris and linux)
jdk1_4b65-src-solwin32-16_May.zip (all platforms)
jdk1_4b65-src-win32-16_May.zip
jae1_4b65-src-solaris-16_May.zip (solaris and linux)
jae1_4b65-src-solwin32-16_May.zip (all platforms)
jae1_4b65-src-win32-16_May.zip
plugin:
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-solwin-may_16_2001.zip (all platforms)
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-sol-may_16_2001.tar.Z (solaris and linux)
I want to bundle the hotspot code with the rest of the J2RE and J2SDK
soruce bundles and not delivered them separately. Thus,
jae1_4b65-src-solaris-16_May.zip and
jdk1_4b65-src-solaris-16_May.zip will additionally include:
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-linux-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solsparc-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solx86-may_16.zip
jae1_4b65-src-solwin32-16_May.zip and
jdk1_4b65-src-solwin32-16_May.zip will additionally include:
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-win-may_16.zip
jae1_4b65-src-win32-16_May.zip and
jdk1_4b65-src-win32-16_May.zip will additionally include:
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-linux-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solsparc-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-solx86-may_16.zip
hotspot-1_4-beta-b65-src-win-may_16.zip
and there will be no separate hotspot source bundles.
Also, I would like to bundle the Unix Plugin source code
with the Unix J2SDK source bundles, and not deliver it separately. Thus,
jdk1_4b65-src-solaris-16_May.zip will additionally include:
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-sol-may_16_2001.tar.Z
jdk1_4b65-src-solwin32-16_May.zip will additionally include:
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-sol-may_16_2001.tar.Z
and there will be no java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-sol-may_16_2001.tar.Z
bundle.
I would also like to replace the solaris-win32 plugin
bundle with just a win32 plugin bundle that is additive to
any win32 capable J2SDK source bundle. Thus,
the bundle
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-solwin-may_16_2001.zip
will only contain win32 plugin code and be named
java_plugin-1.4-beta-b65-src-win-may_16_2001.zip
And finally, the bundle names will match the bundle naming standard
at http://javaweb/release/naming_conv.html, and the bundles would
all exist .zip file format.
The net result will be the following TLDA bundles:
j2sdk-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-unix-16_May.zip (solaris and linux)
j2sdk-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-win-16_May.zip (win32 - no plugin)
j2sdk-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-16_May.zip (all platforms - no win32 plugin)
java_plugin-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-win-16_may_2001.zip (win32 plugin)
j2se-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-unix-16_May.zip (solaris and linux)
j2se-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-win-16_May.zip (win32)
j2se-1_4_0-b65-src-beta-16_May.zip (all platforms)
