Tested bundle: j2sdk-1_4_0-beta-bin-b65-solsparc-16_may_2001.sh

Tested environment: th_TH.UTF-8 / os2.9_b38 /sun4u

For awt testing, input engine doesn't work properly on th_TH locale. Sometimes java appicaltion cannot display strings properly or lose cursor on awt_textarea.

How to reproduce :

1) run Editor.class or awttest.class
2) input strings more than two lines in english and th_TW.
3) move cursor to the top of lines and then input characters
4) then suddenly the characters and cursor are invisible
