Merlin jre build: beta_refresh-b66
Solaris9 build : s81_39 with "Entire distribution OEM support" installing
CDE version : 1.5 39b
Browser : Netscape 4.76

Tested Solaris 9 for sparc and x86:

To reprduce;

1) Install the JRE for Merlin build 66 into Solaris 9(s81_39).

2) Setnev NPX_PLUGIN_PATH $JREHOME/plugin/sparc/ns4

3) Invoke the netscape 4.76 browser and open swing applet demo as following;
Go to the below URL and click Test Case #1(Hello I18N)
http://i18n-u1-26c.eng.sun.com:8080/jaws-i18n/doc/plugin-standard.html

OR

Go to the below URL and click "SwingSet2 Applet" or "Java2D"
http://sqesvr.eng.sun.com/deployment2/sridhare/ws/demos/1.3/applets.html

Result:

After loading plugin and applet, swing applet are not displayed correctly in the browser.
I confirmed that Plug-in is loaded correctlry in browser, by "about:plugins".

This phenomenon is not seen in other applet demo(except swing) such as "A Clock", "Bar chart","Arc Test"... . Thier demo are displayed completely and can be executed in browser.


In JDK, swing application are not displayed on Solaris 9(s81_39) with Merlin b66.
Therefore, I wonder if this problem is related to #4465659.

This problem does not occur on Solaris (sparc/x86) 8 / 7 / 2.6.
This problem did not occur on Solairs 9(s81_38) with Merlin b63b.
