On an IA9-38 machine, in Arabic locale, with merlin build 67, ran demo app Font2DTest, all the text on buttons or popup menu are missing, displayed blank.

Note: tried SampleTree, worked fine, tried SwingSet2, exceptions thrown and abort, see bug 4467354.

This bug also happens on sparc Solaris 9, arabic locale, but it is fine in hebrew locale.
