Merlin build: beta_refresh-b68
Solaris9 build: s81_40 with "Entire distribution OEM support" installing
locale : ja, ja_JP.PCK, ja_JP.UTF-8 and C on both of Sparc and x86 =========================================================================


Launching GUI application, the message as below is displayed on terminal;


Font specified in font.properties not found [-urw-itc zapfdingbats-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-sun-fontspecific]



This is reproducible also with the previous merlin build, b67 on the latest Solaris9, s81_40.
This message was not seen in merlin b67 testing which was excuted on Solaris9 s81_39 using merlin b67.

This is not reproducible on Solaris8 using merlin b68.

From these phenomenons, it seems that a font which is defined in font.properties is missing in Solaris9 s81_40.



To rerpoduce,

1. Please launch Font2DTest ($JAVAHOME/demo/jfc/Font2DTest/Font2DTest.jar).
   Then, the you can see this message is displyaed repeatedly on terminal thouhg Font2DTest demo can be launched properly.

This error message also appears in s9_41, C locale, when starting the gnome install wizard or sdtaudiocontrol.
