Showmetv2.0 cannot be maximized/minimized properly on solaris 9

After I maximized the showmetv2.0 window by clicking on right upper corner, I cannot get it back to original window. This happens only on s9 build 40.
Java version is 1.4. The problem goes away when I setenv SMTV_JAVAHOME to /usr/java1.2/bin/

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Run Showmetv2.0
      2. Playback a movie
      3. Click right corner of window to maximize
      4. Try to get back to original size by clicking corner
Note: This problem is not found with other java applications such as Java Media Player on the same solaris build and the same java version 1.4. But this may be another java bug.

The submitter did not explain this properly, so I add it myself:
The application can be run from
      /net/chimera.eng/export/chimera8/showmespaces/releases.
Look at the ReleaseNotes.txt for important information.

Maximing and getting back to original size work fine with Dtpower which is also
a java application. Also, there is no such problems with JMStudio.

I find the request for more information (ideally for a smaller
test case) legitimate, so the bug should stay in incomplete state
until our team responds to it.

I got a message from Rich Ray saying this is NOT a java/awt fix. I need advice from development team to re-assign this bug. Please advice. Thanks.
