Verified
All the Hindi glyphs in Lusida Sans are missing & appeared as square boxes when running in the solaris 9 build 71.
To reproduce the problem copy the directory from /net/sqesvr/export/i18n/i18n_ws/GlobalSuite/lib because the testcase is using the DataPool class which is in the above directory & attached files in to the same directory where you are copying the above directoy. Compile(javac DrawStringLTest1.java) them & run (appletviewer DrawStringLTest1.html) in Solaris 9( build 41 of solaris ) & IA 9( build 41 of solx86). Execute this programme in build 71 of merlin.
This happens only with solaris 9 & IA 9.
If you unable get the files from attachments, copy the respective files from the location /home/mf118712/LigatureTest directory.
I have execute the Font2DTest with jdk-build-70 also, when we set the font to "Lucida Sans" and range is "All Glyphs" then it is showing up to arabic letters only in Solaris 9. When I verified the same thing in solaris 7 all the Glyphs for hindi was there.
I just verify with build 73 the plain fonts are rendering properly in both solaris 9 & IA 9.
